What is the Design Center?

The Design Center is a unit that is organized in the organizational structure of the organization as a separate unit, exclusively engaged in design activities in Turkey and employs at least 10 full time equivalent R & D personnel, has sufficient design accumulation and ability and is located in the same building or same campus.

What are the basic requirements for Design Center applications?

1. Employment of design staff at least 10 full-time equivalents in design centers,

2. The activities of design centers within the scope of the Law to be realized in Turkey,

3. The applicant company; Adequate design management and technological assets, R & D human resources, intellectual rights, project and information resources management capability and capacity,

4. The fact that the design centers have the mechanisms to make the physical control of the design and support staff working in the design center,

5. The design of the design centers, the duration, the budget and the need for staff identified Design programs and projects to be found,

6. Design centers are organized as a separate unit and are located within a single campus or physical space,

What are the Designated Activities?

The following activities are not considered within the scope of design activity in the implementation of this Regulation:

a) Marketing activities, market surveys, market research or sales promotion,

b) Quality control,

c) The use of invented or existing developed processes without being covered by a design project, ç) Research expenditures related to establishment and organization,

d) Investment activities for production and production infrastructure, expenditures related to planning of commercial production and mass production process,

e) Copying and distributing copies of prototypes for sampling, and consumer testing of advertisements,

f) Direct or embedded technology transfer which does not serve to introduce a new process, system or product without a design project,

g) Activities to protect these rights, other than the acquisition of intellectual property rights relating to the product or process developed by design activities,

ğ) The signing of the sovereignty under Article 6 of the Paris Convention, Article 6 of the Paris Convention and the prohibition of the registration of marks, emblems, insignia, or naming which are not included in this scope but which are not publicly authorized in the public domain in relation to religious, historical and cultural values, design activities involving the use of

h) Design activities contrary to public order or morality
